I have owned a Venture Model Mosrite since I was 16 yr old - 1965 and now I also own a HitchHiker that I purchased from Nokie in 2004 s/n NE0032.......When I first saw the HitchHiker on his website my first thought was "that's a Mosrite"....but when Nokie sent me the guitar and I plugged it in......that is where the similarities ended......the HitchHiker is superb!...because of the thru body neck, the guitars sustain goes on forever it seems..the tone is deep and mellow.....which is what Nokie seems to like. I spoke with him several times on the phone about the guitar and he was excited about the fact that the HitchHiker will put out 15 different sounds "all without a battery" were his words! He also had told me that when the "Venture Model" Mosrite was being designed he wanted a wider neck...and Semie refused to make it wider!.......and so Nokie's guitar definitely has a wider neck!....ya want it your way.....build one yourself! lol....
