Nice guitar.
Would like particulars on where, when, and how much.

Thanks. I love it. I like my Fillmore but this vintage 1972 is even better. Funny how my Fillmore has some vintage Mosrite pickups installed and this 72 sounds better. This means Mosrite vintage pickups were inconsistent like many Gibson P90s of the 1950s and 60s.

I bought my 72 from Guitar Center. Here is the kicker, it was on their website in Florida and I am in CA and it was listed as an Avenger for $899. I really don't need another Mosrite since I have a 1966 Mark V, a 2007 Fillmore Mark V and a Firstman Avenger circa 1969. The [ictures at GC are generally bad but I could make out it was not an Avenger because the painted headstock and I could barely make out it had too many words on the headstock. I called GC and they said it said Mosrite by Semie Moseley. Right then I knew it was not an Avenger and probably vintage USA. I researched and found this was an early 1970s. I think a 72 from the serial # but I could be off on the year. I found a discussion here where a man posted he had a couple Mosrites but didn't know anything about guitars and needed help identifying his. He inherited the guitars. His and mine looked the same. Same cherryburst body and headstock. I found out that early 1970s models go for about $2,250 give or take a couple hundred depending on the market and the buyers. So i scored. So I paid over the phone with my GC card. Zero interest for six months. I will pay it off in time.

I also found that the '70s models were the same quality and same guitar as the '60s but different logo design on the headstock. This has a headstock end neck adjustment so it's like the late '60s model. Neck is thin but I have no issue with that as my Mark V has a small neck and Fillmore is thin and narrow too. The Fillmore however is not as thin as the '72 but pretty darn close. By the way, Semie went into Bankruptcy about 1969 then reorganized and came out of it shortly thereafter and moved to different parts of the country to build guitars. It's been said the early 70s models were made from parts that he had left over from the late 60s when he went bankrupt. So essentially it's as good as a vintage 1960s model but with different headstock logo design.

I have a 73 Gretsch Roc Jet and it's a fine guitar. I'd love an Astro Jet from the era if anyone has one and finds it too "weird"...

I guess I also like weird but depends. Looked up 73 Gretsch Roc Jet and it looks good.

Those Pumpkin Center era guitars are something else. A bit different than the Mark I's from the 60's but still cool nonetheless. Made from a stash of parts from the bankruptcy.
