Is this the real thing?

Sure looks clean for an original. Of course the price is healthy, also.

The letterings at the very edge of the tailpiece (extreme left in the pic) should spell out Moseley. In the pic, it sure doesn't look like that.
Similar issues with letterings following the M logo on the flat portion of the tailpiece between the bridge and the rocker assembly.

A closeup of the tailpiece would be useful in identifying this guitar properly.

I saw this one on eBay listed by PM Blues a few weeks ago. I think it is real one. It comes with the original receipt from a store called Dixiland etc. (indicated blue finish.. paid $498)

The lettering at the very edge of the tailpiece is "Moseley". Everything looks cool to me except the price is way too high. (for me anyway)

OK - I see "Moseley" spelled out when I view this on a normal screen. Was using a 7-inch screen when I looked at the pic last time. $7K is way too much in my books as well.

hey,

i seen this guitar on gbase. it seems like it's original to me. 7000 is a lot, but it might be worth that, since very few mosrites were painted this color. if I had the cash, i'd buy it for that much.
Cheers,

It was on gbase for a while for around $5k. It was listed on eBay for a couple of days for that price then the listing was cancelled. The price on gbase was then raised to $7k. I think it had something to do with the white one that sold on eBay with BIN in the high $6k range.

I know Paul at PM Blues and he is a very good guy and has run a lot of stores over a long period of time. He also handles most of Duke Robillard's guitar sales - not really all that impressive just kind of proves he's not a fly by night guy.

I should also say while he has a great inventory he is one of those people who thinks everything he has is gold.

I would say call and talk to him, he usually comes down quite a bit.
