I can understand why someone prefers a good humbucker over a already nice singlecoil - it's all a matter of taste.
But why do you change the tuners? Is there something wrong or 'not so good' with the original ones?

Wow! Very cool! The bridge humbucker's not really my thing, but I dig the Sperzels. I've got several Carvins with those, and they save a lot of time when changing strings, although there's nothing wrong with the Kluson-style tuners that come on Custon 60's. I've been thinking about putting Sperzels on my Surf Pearl 60, but the stock tuners are doing fine. That Candy Blue looks great, and the multi-layer binding is killer!

You've got my dream collection... where is it that you're located? Just kidding, but that trio (actually quintet now) is quite amazing.
Thanks,
