New member landing here!
'65 Mosley model,
#3346
"M" hat knobs
7 screw scratchplate
heel truss rod adjust
Mosrite of California embossed on Pickups - I don't see an "R" trademark
Ventures endorsement
no patent # on the Mosely vibrato
sunburst
Played hard, massive checking and battle scars
Incredible sound direct into various tube amps. Very responsive. It needs a bit of work on the set-up.
I think I am going to have some questions about the vibrato, e.g. why the arm is all floppy + loose, but I will have a search through the old threads first.
Nice to meet you all,
best, tony

Re: New member in space
Tony outa space, welcome on board this ship! I take it you've already been taken to our leader
Sounds like you have a cool Mo' there. I guess you won't have to worry too much about bruising it; such a painful thing when that happens for the first time on your brand new axe or car, for that matter
Enjoy your stay.
[edit] I like your sunburst creation ^^ ...very original!

Re: New member in space
Thank you for permission to come aboard!
Last night I completed the set up and ran out of space to take the second string saddle back. It is still about 10 cents out, close enough for rock and roll, so I will just play it now.
The Klusons were in a right state, as was the bridge and trem. I have nearly a whole tube of teflon grease in this guitar now. Everything is stable now and works well. Sadly I had to remove quite a lot of historic gunk to get things working again.
My first time with Elixir light-heavy strings. Seems to work well with the trem spring. Worked a little on the loose trem arm, but I need to go back there with the next string change.
I was amazed how thin the PU wires are. One fell off the switch as soon as I looked at it! The bridge ground wire was not making contact, so I ran an extra one. Now it is quieter than many of my other single coils.
Now I am Eight Miles High,
best, tony
