It's 1/2 inch from the surface of the body to the edge of the fretboard on my '66 Ventures model. 7/16" on my Partsrite.

thanks so much Mel ;)
it is more hight than a fender neck for sure
1/2 inch =12,7mm
now i am at 18mm as i see i can go down for 3 or 4mm
my angle must a little wrong like 1,5 instead of 2°
i will use your mesurement to correct it
;)
do you have the radius of your bamboo vase also ? the one you use on the semi mosrite
i need to work my curve on the head (and i think my head is a little too low it seems i forget to inclued the thickness of fretboard  )

That looks pretty good to me! It's nearly impossible to make them "perfect" unless everything is being cast or machined in large quantities. Besides, a little nuance on a guitar represents that someone actually crafted it. To me, it's all the little so-called "imperfections" in a guitar that make it unique. Let's face it, no matter how accurate and precise a machine can do it, it's hard to romanticize over a computer and a CNC machine. What's so interesting about a dozen cookie-cutter guitars, all exactly the same?

I say good job!
How dare you presume to inject, using reproducible facts and rational thought, an on-topic discussion into a thread that had degenerated from sarcasm, personal invective, and hand-waving arguments?

I use nut-files to create the grooves in my string guides...go up one or two sizes above the gauge of string you intend to use, and the strings move freely with the tremolo and bends. If you're "turning" these, you could carefully hold the file against the rod, making sure it never heats up enough to gall the file...aluminum is sneaky that way, so I use brass. I like the tone of brass better too!

Good luck on the "next" attempt! ;)

I agree, hand-made instruments all have something "unique" in their finished character. I can buy good quality "cookie-cutter" guitars for quite a bit less than it costs me to build one...but they're nowhere near as much fun!
