GOOD DAY ALL...
My name is Dr. Bill Hudson... Anyone who has read Sarah's Posts (http://www.mosritecelebrity.com) "might" know who I am... But just in case - I am the original guitarist from Sam the Sham and The Pharaohs... Now for the short version of "the rest of the story" and what brings me here - Semie gave me a "Celebrity", in Lake Village Arkansas, in 1964... He "stamped" the serial number into the neck "on the spot" - 062948 (my birthday) and he told me he had made this guitar himself and it was the prototype of a "soon" to be released model... I have, over my life time, raised three kids, married and divorced one woman, married another, traveled all over God's green earth AND one thing has remained constant for me - MY MOSRITE... I have owned this one guitar longer than anything else in my life and it is the guitar that I STILL use to judge "all others", and I have a few really awesome axes... As I become more aquainted with this site I will post photos of my prized Mosrite...
I am a Ph.D. level consultant and while here at my current client (MEDTRONIC) the commerical photographer MADE me bring in two of my guitars for photo sessions SO I am fortunate to have truely AWESOME high res photos of my Prototype Celebrity and a rare 1980 Gibson Custom Shop (nashville) B.B. King Lucille...
I live in Memphis Area and at the young age of of 63 - I am STILL gigging and playing my ole Celebrity! My current band is comprised of Myself on guitar; Bo Diddly and Chuck Berry's Bass Player, Kerry Parker; Dickey Betts Drummer, Bill Ashley; The Blind Ducks (a Beale Street Staple) lead singer and front man, Gary Dean; and a Sax and Keyboard Player from the Fort Wayne Indiania Area, Tom Slagle... We are "laying down" extreme variety music for Baby-Boomers and having a ball doing it...
So much for "a few words" - I'll be adding more as time goes on - so
HELLO TO MOSRITE FANS EVERYWHERE - as Semie was so prone to say - MOSRITE FOREVER!!!

Welcome to the forum! Sam the Sham and The Pharaohs, eh? I gotta say, loved that sound - one of the first songs my grandson liked to listen to was "Wooly Bully" - probably because I used to swing him to that song. Requested it everytime his mom brought him over here, and he was only about 2 yrs old!. Glad to have you aboard.
