I have a question about my Hallmark Sheena
My phone jack nut came unscrewed and the jack fell inside the guitar. I have to unscrew the pick guard to fix it. How the heck do I get these knobs off. I've pulled them about as hard as I can. Is there something I'm missing or do I just need to pull harder?
In order of purchase:

2) V88
3) Stereo 350
4) Hallmark II in Johnny Blue
5) Danelectro '66
6) Celebrity III
7) Hallmark Gospel

Aren't the knobs etc. all attached to the pick guard (and not the body), making removal of knobs unnecessary?

To access the insides of your Sheena, simply remove all the pick guard screws, loosen all the string to allow clearance and lift the pick guard up and away. All the components are mounted to the pick guard.
To remove knobs that don't have a set screw, use a shoe lace or piece of string about 18 inches long. Slip string under the knob and wrap around the pot shaft once, then in a lifting/rocking motion pull upward on the ends of the strings and work the knob up and off.

to get the knobs off it also helps to take 2 spoons and place one on either side of the knob and bush down on the spoon handles.

Re: I have a question about my Hallmark Sheena
I use a Pickle Fork from my Dad's garage.
Actually, the method I use to remove knobs is a wash cloth. I put opposite corners under two sides of the knob and in a rocking motion. It creates a little hammock that catches the knob. I tried the spoon technique once and the knob went flying.
