Yep, I'm back on it! I finished another two hours tonight and completed a few more pages. The rest of the pages are just going to require minor formatting changes so they should go quickly as I think they have all of the content I'm going to put in at this time.

I got inspired by a discussion earlier today on this forum and I've added a new page called "Technical Information". I think it would be helpful to have a page that answers the technical questions that come up from time to time and help people with their Celebrity (or other Mosrites). For example, I photographed a step by step procedure for changing guitar strings on a Celebrity with Kluson tuners. I've seen numerous guitars that were not strung up property.

I also disassembled a Moseley Tremolo to show all of it's component parts and how to adjust them if the arm gets too loose.

I'll add a segment on stretching guitar strings to help with tuning stability.

Any other ideas or tips ya'll have will be happily added.

Alrighty then. It's bedtime and I'll work on it again tomorrow night!

Actually that's what I'm going to do. I had already photographed the sequence for changing strings with Kluson tuners and just didn't think about where to put it yet. I mentioned it hoping to get ya'll to share some of your tips and tricks to be added later on the first update.

a friend taught me this years ago, and it has always worked for me. when you string up the guitar, use the thickness of three fingers as a measurement to add slack to the string before you put it in the tuner. then just tune up the string to pitch, and try to have the winding around the tuner post work it's way down towards the headstock, to give a greater angle at the nut (or in the case of a mosrite, the string guide) this method has never failed me since I started doing it about 15 years ago. the only other thing I would add, is use four fingers instead on an open tuner like a kluson, since you lose a little bit of slack putting the string inside the tuner.
BB king's method is to use the entire string on the post. it works for him, so I'm not going to tell him he's wrong ;)

Well, I could not resist any longer. Blame it on Artie, he made me do it! I very carefully "excavated" the little shim out of the neck pocket so I could make out the rest of the letters. And, it is HELEN! Now to find out who Helen is. ;)

That was probably Helen Blazes. She was in charge of Semie's Complaint Department.

When someone, customer or staff, had a problem, Semie could say, "Please go to Helen Blazes with your little problem."

Sarah, my guess is that she was probably one of the assembly inspectors, but I thought Jim's answer was better  .
