Holy crap I can't wait until I get this guitar in my hand. This is worse than having tickets for the Dropkick Murphy's 2 months in advance. I just look forward to it.

3) Stereo 350
4) Hallmark II in Johnny Blue

I own myself an original 65 and we spec'd it out. So, we believe this is dead on in regards to looks, feel, tone, however, we believe we improved the performance area as it seriously needed it.

It actually sustains very well now unlike the originals and gets nice harmonics in playing like a quality axe!

This guitar could be played for any type of gig again unlike the original. Don't get me wrong, I love my original for what it is, but the difference is substancially better and higher quality on the Hallmark. Again, the tone on these guitars is amazing. We took the time to get it right. We have been making these style pickups for a long time at Hallmark and this is a KEY to the classic Ramones sound. It really nails the early Johnny sound when cranked through a Marshall and also has a excellent clean warm tone for any type of application.

Try one out!

Thank you for the inquiries! Bob

Thanks a lot, Adam! Now that I've seen a picture of it, I have another question... How is the vibrato attached to the base plate? Are there screws holding it on from the underside of the plate?

I think the vibrato is attatched by the tension of the strings up against to bent tabs in the base plate.

I wouldn't have thought of that. Could someone please confirm this?

Yes, the vibrato arm and rocker are simply held in place by the string tension.

As a result when you change the strings the arm and rocker fall off in your hand. Not the best vibrato in the world especially when putting new strings on, but it does work and seems to stay in tune.

I can just imagine Johnny completely hating this vibrato as he was changing strings. He never used it the bar anyway. We will offer this vibrato as an option in 2010, stay tuned..........well gutarists should always stay tuned right?

Hey Ho! Let's Go! Bob Shade
