Hallmark Gospel (Mark V clone) Compared to a real Mosrite Mark V

Hello,
I was wondering if the hallmark mark V reissue, the Gospel, has similar pickups to the original Mosrite mark V. I was looking at some Ed Elliot reissue pickups for replacements but then I saw a thread from the when the Gospel first came out originally saying they were faithful recreations of the originals but on the website they said they were their hi-fidelity hum-buckers. If someone who either owns a Gospel or if the legendary Bob Shade himself could clarify it would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance, Josh

Welcome, Josh. You're probably looking both at the Gospel page, and at the Parts page which has two different pickups available. Here's the page for the Hallmark Gospel, which has Mosrite Mark V-style Single Coils (which is what you're looking for.)

The pickups on a Hallmark Gospel are not the same thing as the 2 types of pickups that can be bought at the Parts page which is linked here:

The differences between a Hallmark Gospel and an original are more on the minor side. Body wood is one thing, then neck width, and the pickups are potted vs the originals that are not. The scale length on a Hallmark is also 24.75" vs the original 24.50".

Sure thing. Also, if you happened to look at Aaron Rash's video on the Mosrite Mark V, then he thought for the video that the Mark V Pickups are air coils. They're not, he was looking at photos of 1971 - 1974 pickups of a completely different design.
