No New Posts

Postby panther » Mon Jul 06, 2020 12:10 pm

Because of health issues I have not been posting on a regular basis.
Last login was late June.
I logged in today and clicked on NEW POSTS...It showed no new posts since last visit. Is that possible that no one has posted in 2 weeks ?

Hey Dan,

Come on people Charlie Daniels just passed away. Isn't that worth a post ?
I wonder how much all this Covid 19 stuff is effecting everyone.

Covid has nothing to do with lack of post here. As much as I'd like this board to be very active it is not. This forum doesn't have a lot of posters unfortunately. We can't make people post. It is just the nature of this board.

Message boards are dying all over the internet. It's just not the way people communicate anymore. With the exception of a few huge popular music boards, most of them are withering. Social media is the way now. Add to that the fact that Mosrites are a small niche, well there ya go.

I hope it's not that we, Mosrite lovers, are a dying breed. I'll soon be 67, and I've been a Mosrite lover for over 50 years. Maybe some of us are bound to the old ways of doing things. I for one refuse to do facebook, twitter, or any of the other so-called "social media". Mosrite forever!

There is a certain amount of truth to what you say. Many guitarist don't know or ever heard of Mosrite. I am 53 and a couple years ago Guitar Center had a vintage 1965 Mark 1. I tried it and was talking to a guy my age and he never heard of Mosrite. I speak to so many guitar players and even guitar sales men who never heard of Mosrite. It is not a common name brand.

This is true. Only the guitar nerds know what a Mosrite is. I know I can go to gigs and ask ten guitarists about Mosrite and maybe one of them had heard of the brand.

Mosrite was a great company back in the 60's but due to bad management it couldn't continue to keep running. The co. came back a couple of times but never got back to what they once were.

Many guitar players do not want the small necks that Mosrite used now days. I find it harder to play mine now days and am using a Telecaster more.
