Mosrite of Classics Inquiry

Guitar Center website had a Mosrite of Classics so I purchased it. It should arrive probably Tuesday. It's from a different location than where I live so I paid for shipping and it's being sent to the Guitar Center near me.

I have heard of the Mosrite Avenger (which I have one), I have heard of Mosrite Excellent and heard of Mosrite by Fillmore. But what's a Mosrite of Classics? Usually they say Mosrite of California on the headstock.

Thanks!

Not sure personally what that is. Do you have any photos. There are MANY copies of Mosrites.

Pretty sure this is the Japanese company for which Dana Moseley wound the pickups.

If that's the case it might be a good guitar. Thanks

Hi MozRite,
I found an earlier post that seems to confirm my suspicion that 'Mosrite of Classics' is a Fillmore logo.
The useage of 'Of California' seems to be a bit fluid in Japan. In 2004/5, when I visited Fillmore a couple of times, they were only labelled with 'Of Classics' and the people there told me they were not allowed to use 'Of California'. They also said it helped to distinguish their guitars as Fillmore guitars as opposed to Kurokumo who were, at that time, using both 'Of California' and 'The Ventures' on their headstock. Now Kurokumo have stopped that too I notice.

LoveyX, thank you for the info. That clears up my confusion on this. I also just found Elliot Easton has a Fillmore of Classics also, Please see this link.

I bought a Filmore Mosrite from Ed Roman about 10 years ago and it had "of Classics" on the headstock.
