Fullerton Mo Vibe on Aussie ebay.
There's a nice looking Fullerton Mo Vibe HH Mosrite copy on Australian ebay at the moment and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with these. They get so so reviews on Harmony Central, but I'd like to hear what any Forum members might have to say. It's located not too far from where I live and I'm pretty tempted to go for it.

You know what Mosman? I've never played one, but I have read some reviews on a couple of different forums. I believe they are a Budget to Intermediate Level Guitar. And for the money, I don't think you can beat it. My only surprise was when they came out with this model a couple of years back, they could of KEPT the price down EVEN MORE, by eliminating the chromed pickup covers. At least it would of given it more of a Mo' Vibe with the black coils exposed, sort of like on a PRS. One more thing, don't cut the neck at an angle going into the body, unless you are going to put the neck p'up in at an angle

make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Thanks for your info DTM. I'm still watching it, hoping no-one uses the BIN option so that I might get it cheaper. The BIN price is $500 Australian which because of the pitiful state of our dollar is about $320 US. Still, I don't see things like this here too often so I'll keep watching and see what happens.
I agree with the neck angle / pickup thing.
It just don't look right.

Re: Fullerton Mo Vibe on Aussie ebay.
Well I won the MoVibe and I have to say it's a lot better than I thought it'd be. Visually it's beautiful and probably the only red-with-binding Mosrite / Mosrite-ish guitar I'll ever be able to afford. The pickups don't sound too bad at all and I actually prefer the darker red colour to the brighter red on my Excellent 65. On the downside I do find the angled fretboard-meets-standard positioned Humbucker- arrangement to be a bit jarring initially and those horrid chicken beak Volume and Tone knobs were the first thing I changed. I can't even stand them on amps let alone guitars. The grooves in the nut were very rough and looked for all the world like they'd been gnawed through by rodents, but all in all it's a nice guitar and I got it for $350 Australian which is about $240 US.
She's a beaut.

I've been giving the Fullerton a good workout for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love this thing. Most of the reviewers on Harmony Central reckoned they changed the pickups—which would probably be the way to go in a band situation—but just for home playing they sound great. It's well made and very solid. A bargain.

Unfortunately, no eBay URL for the guitar under discussion was included so I attempted a search and came up empty. Eventually I checked with completed listings and found one but it doesn't seem to be the same guitar since you're talking about a red guitar and the one I found is green. Also, the price you got your for is more than the one I found which can be seen here:

The one I scored was on Australian ebay just before Christmas. These Fullertons are a bit of a mystery and info is almost impossible to come by, although Tim ( Tym guitars ) tells me they are made by Aria. As I said I quite like it—the Mosrite look but with more grunt for those who play high gain stuff.
Good fun.

Re: Fullerton Mo Vibe on Aussie ebay.
It's a beautiful guitar and a faithful copy of a Mosrite is almost as good as the real thing. I just settle for a UNIVOX HI-FLYER bass because Dillion copies are hard to come by and Dillion copies of Mosrite were/are just beautiful. If I hadn't been "cheap" I could have owned a beautiful copy of a Mosrite by Dillion, the best I've ever seen. I've always regretted not getting at $350 and I'm sure if that one was offered it would command $400-$500 and who knows how the bidding action would have gone. I have not seen a Fullerton bass, are they made?
