Please help me identify

Postby marius005 » Mon Feb 29, 2016 8:42 am

I have tried to identify the pictured copy for a long time, but never found out much about it. Apparently the builder only build 15 of these and the decal on the headstock reads "SV". The player on the picture doesn't even know much about it, but it has been his work horse since the early eighties, or maybe even before, but that's when the band became popular and the first pictures of it started to appear. Does anyone know anything about these copies or who made it? Thanks a lot for any tips or info about it.

I have a friend who has got two guitars made by Sune Vestlund a Swedish builder from Jämtland in Sweden. He (SV) is some kind of craftsman, carpenter or maybe he did floors. Both are great guitars though a bit heavy as I remember it. It was at least twenty years ago...

Granis, not making fun of you...it just sounded funny, the difference between an obviously talented luthier, and someone who did floors. Your Swenglish is perfect...I can barely speak/write English!

Btw.. he worked as a floor layer and built guitars as a hobby. He was a big fan of The Ventures.
