Hey Mel,
The mute on the original Mosrites were'nt near as fancy as the ones
on Fenders, it's hinges with a screw on the bass side and extends
a little past the bridge on the treble side just enought to slip your pinky
under, so you hold it up with your pinky when you're using it and it drops
down out of the way when you're not.
Eddy.

Eddy, that is one 'Sick Flame' on the Headstock and Neck! ;)
BTW: For my South Florida 'Twisted' Compliment,
"Sick Flame" = 'Gorgeous Flame'
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Really?!? You have to hold it in place with your pinky? No wonder it wasn't a long lasting design - if your hand is immobilized at the bridge, you might as well palm mute!

The casting on the bridge looks great, by the way. Did you do a run of VibraRite castings? Do you have any plans on selling VibraRite assemblies?

Another Drool-inducing beauty!
Actually, I think the "mistake plates" are cool looking. They seem to work as a two-tone pickguard aesthetically.

Vintage Fafnir aircraft bearings in the Vibra-Rite tremelo unit,
Symetical head stock, clear Guild knobs and strap buttons like
the originals and with the vintage 3 tone sunburst, Photos coming soon.

Ed, do you know of a source for those clear or black Guild knobs?

Danny you know Guild is owned by Fender, I went up to the Fender dealer about 40 miles from here in Muskogee, They
ordered them for me straight form the Fender warehouse in Scottsdale, Az, I orded all they had in stock, witch wasn't all that many, they stopped making them, I may have to start buying up Guild Electrics just for the knobs and strap buttons and reselling them with Gibson Knobs, I need to find out who made them for Guild, Any body out there Know????

Ed Elliott, The copies you make are stunning  What have you been building lately? I'd like to see.

Edit: I see you have a new topic in the forum and I replied to it too. I should pay more attention to who starts topics here!

Hey Danny,

Several months back I posted a photo of a couple of Mosrites I was doing complete restorations on, you said you'd like to see a follow-up, Well I still haven't got the white '65 done, but I did manage to get the Strawberry Red '64 finished earlier this week. I snapped a couple of photos before I shipped it off to my customer.

Hey Ed,

As expected it turned out great. Looking back at the old posts, this was the '64 that you made a new neck. Correct?

I see you also have the capability to silk screen the proper logo. That is one area I've never tried. Do you have someone makeup a silk screen layout for you, or do you make your own. I'm totally in the dark on this process.
