I just felt like making the subject sound awesome!
ANYWAY!!!!!!!
I was on the bay of E when i came across a Hi-Filer (forgive my bad spelling its almost 1 AM where I am) and she was pretty cheap. Sold for less than $300. I didnt hop on this deal cuz I know little about Univox. If i were to come across another one, would you guys recommend that i buy it? Like how its a Univox? Good bad? Happy sad?

Depending on the condition, $300 would have been a pretty good deal. These are a little thin at the neck joint - many of them show cracks in that area. I had one back in the early 70s - a good little piece of nostalgia.

I don't know how they play or sound but they usually go above $500 if they don't have any big problems. (I'm talking about truss rod problems or something like that) With that being said, It doesn't necessarily mean you should buy one just because its cheap. (Then again, If you bought one for a cheap price you could sell it for what you paid or more so you wouldn't be losing money but selling a guitar can be tough) Also, There are four general versions of the Hi Flyer - Phase 1 through Phase 4. You can read about the differences here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univox_Hi-FlierAlso, If you're not sure that you want it or not you probably don't want it. I've had this happen to me a few times, Once with an Italia guitar ($400) And a Schecter guitar ($300) They weren't bad but I couldn't part with the money because I didn't really want them. I'd have felt like "Eh, Its just another guitar for the pile... I don't like it enough" So what I'm getting at is, Do you want a Univox or a Hallmark more? There might be something better than that Univox if you keep looking. I'd shoot for a Hallmark over a Univox but that's just me.

The Phase 4 goes for less than the other ones but $200 is still a low price, They go for at least $300. You might want to get another tailpiece for it that will allow intonation though. Hey, Have you set up any guitars?

You really should learn, Once you do your guitars can play easier and sound a lot sweeter. (It can be a very big difference) Shops can do this for you but you'll likely need to leave your guitar there for a day or longer.
