What you think of "mosrite of classics"

Hi!
Well i'm about to buy a mosrite of classics...there made in japan models
the mark-1 in pearlly white...beacause its the only one i can afford
so any input on this guitar would be appreciate.
I mean what the big difference between the japan and us model?
and would i be satisfied with a classic?

Have you checked out the Hallmark 60 Custom they IMHO are great guitars and Bob Shade Great to work with.

Yes..but never heard one..i would have to hear a clip,and then i could tell you.
Because i haven found ANY clone that nailed the mosrite tone..That what i'm after...not the look
Any link to clip would be appreciate

yeah it sound great...but i will still like to have info on the mosrite of classics
and the diffrence between us model and imports.
Actually i could get one for a good price from a pal in reno...thats why.
but if it wasnt from that,i'll probaly go for a 60's custom.

The Hallmark has the sound and the neck & frets are much more user friendly and for $899 with case. Your not going to find a new import for less than $1400 and for the " USA" ( they are really also MIJ )models you might as well buy vintage for the same price.

Actually i think that the narrow neck,thin fretlines and slim necks of the real mosrite
or really suited for me.And actually i'm in canada so 900$ us is for me 1000$ and add to that the shipping and the darn custom fees...It end up only being like 200$more max for the real stuff....since my pal gonna ship this "as a gift"...so no custom fees.

I have a Mosrite of Classics from Japan, but I can't tell you the difference (if any) between the Japanese and U.S. Fillmores. I do think that the Fillmore looks, sounds and feels the same as an original Mosrite. The neck is a little narrow for me, so playing chords isn't so easy, but it's great for leads. I'm really happy with it. The Hallmark looks tempting, but I don't really need two guitars that sound so similar.
