It Was Gonna Happen Sooner or Later......

Postby Dennisthe Menace » Fri Aug 14, 2009 6:20 pm

I guess we should not be surprised when Eastwood came back out with the reissue
of the Univox Hi-Flyer. So now, Aria has decided to step into the ring as well with
their reissue of their copy of the Univox Hi-Flyer copy made by Eastwood which are
both copies of the Mosrite Reissues of the Mosrites........

make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Uh...

You lost me. What I can definitely tell is that Aria have reissued their Diamond Mosrite copy though. Looks like it has a Stratocaster style tremolo which means good opportunities if you want to replace it with a Stetsbar or Trem King.

At least it's getting the Mosrite shape and vibe back out to the mainstream. These will probably show up in GC's and SA's.

Hey, I didn't think about that. Nice! They are cheaper than Eastwood's version too, I just hope cheaper doesn't mean a decrease in quality. Maybe I'll pick one of these up if I can get one for $200 or cheaper, Could be a good modding opportunity.

Not a bad looking copy ... Better carves than the Dillion or the Eastwood. And for $300?? May definitely get people interested in the Mosrite history of these guitars ... I like the Seafoam Green ...
So many guitars; So little time ..

Yea, Aria Diamond Mosrite copies are also available in Finland. Here the list price is EUR 269,00 which is really really cheap - and cheap ofter goes with low quality. However, a guitarist in the band of an old finnish punker-rocker is using one of those. They are quite popular and the guitar must be in a serious professional use.

Might be worth checking out.
This concludes my report from outer space. Now, back to studio!

Considering Aria also makes the Wilson Bros and Hitchhiker guitars, this really isn't a shock at all.

Now that I look at it again the pickups look tiny. Am I seeing it right?
