OK, I have a late, late '65-'66 Combo, Transparent Blueburst with the Jewel Knobs (lathed knobs)
with Matching Headstock, but NOT WITH A VIBRAMUTE TREM SYSTEM. If there is ANYBODY out
there that has an ORIGINAL COMBO with a VIBRAMUTE TREM SYSTEM, PLEASE POST now! ;)
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Hi rynaro, I wanted to say that I really enjoyed the story of your visit to Tokyo and the eventual discovery of your next guitar. And much thanks to the members in Japan that made this thread so much fun to follow.

P.S. Did your girlfriend find the Jag she was looking for?

Nice action shot, Brutus.

As for the rest of this thread...torture!

Yea, the Combos are enticing, but so is just about everything else on this thread.

Rynaro, since you had the chance to pick up and play a number of Mark 1 style Mosrites, how much variation did you notice in their weights, accoustic liveliness, feel of the necks?

only too happy to tell a bedtime story to you all :-D

No we didn't find a jaguar w/hard case in her price range. her band is touring japan later this year so i dare say she'll get one then when she has more cash to spare.
She wanted a black one and i only saw one. her second choice was sunburst but all but 2 jags&jazz were fairly pricey (by that i mean just buy one at tyms for the same price at home)
There were mij mustangs galore for amazing prices!!! i was tempted at one point to buy a cheap mustang then i remembered my mission.
by cheap i mean 55k-67k yen for a new or near new mij guitar.
