"Hunt For The Excellent Pearl Mosrite"
Well after a long exciting day in tokyo the Mosrite hunt came to a very happy close!
I managed to find a Excellent Mosrite EX-65 for my low budget (thanks 100% to Arpsum ... without him i would have got lost and never found anything)
We started our hunt at Jimbocho and walked to every guitar store in the area. To my amazement every store stock new and second-hand guitars, unlike australia where used guitar stores are very rare. Every store had a great selection and some great vintage japanese guitars to spy. In one of our last guitar stores in Ochanomizu we found a used pearl white excellent mosrite for under my budget :-) it played exactly as i wanted and sounded great.
Arpsum had organised an appointment with the black cloud wholesaler store in Otsuka (Arpsum is the name of the place correct?)
They had a lot available including their own set-neck mosrite copy that resembled a univox hi-flyer.
I almost bought the blue-burst but the colour was too "loud" for my liking but an amazing buy for the price. Every guitar there was priced great!!! but i am on a budget and couldn't afford them. I did buy from them a great (used) mosrite hard case for my pearl excelent.
We rushed back to Ochanomizu to get the pearl excellent and done!
My first Mosrite.

[I have included photos of the Otsuka store and my new guitar below]

I would like to thank Arpsum for his help, advice and wisdom. Without you today i would have never got a mosrite.
And also thank him for his amazing gift of a vintage mosrite book that would be impossible to buy outside of Japan.

Interesting note about a few guitars in the pics. below the m88 is a 63 copy it has a sunburst body and a brownburst neck&head.
in the guitar rack on the side wall behind 2 pearl white ones is a black one. Not true it is black on the front and sunburst on the body-back, neck, head-back, then black head-front.... cool :-)
oh and spot the fender bass, fender tele, burny & guyatone :-)
at the very front of the back guitar rack is a nice 63 project :-) and next to it a joe maphis / combo reissue.
Half of the bottom rack is SPEX-65 & SPEX-65 Dlx's.
um thats all i remember.

and of coarse who wants lime jelly whilst playing a lime guitar... i know i do!
