You Tube videos...

Postby dellison » Sat May 16, 2009 6:09 pm

Hello,

I noticed a posting today where someone mentioned that we couldn't post videos in a forum posting. I added the back-end support for that today, so now if you want to add a You Tube video in the forum all you have to do is:

* Go to the video you want at You Tube
* In the main URL for the video, click and copy that information
* In your forum posting click on the new "youtube" button
* Insert your URL i between the

You should be good to go! To show that it works (hopefully) here is a video of dubtrub playing his Mosrite Clone and my brother playing the Mosrite clone bass that dubtrub made!

Thanks for the new feature! Oddly enough, I saw this video yesterday before you posted it. I was searching Mosrite videos and I think this was on page 7?
1966 Ventures II (German Carved, B670.)
1970s "Not a Blues Bender" Bodies: 2.
1976 Brass Rail Deluxe #10.
2013 Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI.

It's an older video that has been on youtube for a while. I think I also linked the video in another post on the site when it was first put up. I figured it was the most appropriate video for testing the new feature though! :D

Indeed a great new feature promising lots of new impetus for the forum.

Nice laid-back video this first one -and watching it just when it was ending, made me make a beeline for the fridge to open up a can...

Thanks Duane

Great idea adding this to phpBB coding, I must admit I had looked into this a while ago as on another forum I frequent, the guy knows everything about it. If you ever need any tips or get stuck on something drop me a pm and I should be able to get you an answer!
