Yeah! I've had that site bookmarked for a couple years. I've sent them emails in the past without a response. I have a feeling someone purchased that web site domain and kept those guitars listed for the day when they can sell it for small fortune to whom ever ends up with the legal rights to the Mosrite name.

I wonder what the difference is between the L4000, L3200, L2000 pickups?

Mel, if I was to guess, and ONLY a guess.....
L4000-No Name on the pickup(s).
L3200-Name on the pickup(s) but no "r" (registered) after the name on pickup(s).
L2000-Name on pickup(s) and the "r" is now after the name.
Again, this only a guess after noticing that the L4000s are ONLY on the '63s, and
the L2000s are only on the later '65s. So I'm guessing that the L3200s were on the
'64s and the very early '65s......?? Any thoughts or other guesses? I could be
W A Y off base with this.......

I remember reading years ago about the Excellent pick-ups. As i recall, there are more than cosmetic differences. I think the L4000 is the hottest pickup and the other two are not as hot.
Sorry, best I remember, but they were supposedly copying a trait in real Mosrite pu's.

One of the guitars listed is the '63 Royal, or Royal '63. The same guitars were featured on a Japanese site some years ago (maybe they still are). At a Philly Guitar Show about 6 or 7 years ago one of the vendors had a Mosrite that he said was a Royal '63. It had a red sparkle finish, had "The Ventures" and "Mosrite of California" logos on the headstock, sidejack, and a set neck. It played great, and the fit, finish and overall quality seemed to be first rate. I didn't play it through an amp.

Are they the same guitars Ed Roman has on his site?

Ed Roman's are from Fillmore. The Royal 63 --and all the other models--are no longer made. These were made by "Black Cloud" from what I understand, and not made by Fillmore.
