Hi Danny,
I have a couple of Mosrite silk-screens I used for refinish work and my E.F.Elliott screen
for my custom guitars, what I did was pretty simple, I took an original neck that had a good clean logo to a print shop, had them scan and print a good black and white on a high dollar
copy machine. Took that and some small frames I made to a little sceen shop that did hats and T shirts, They put the silk on my frame, they turned the black and white and turn it to a positive and burnt me a screen.
People seem to really like to have the logo back on there guitar when they get'em refinished.
Eddy

Beautiful work - ya gotta love that red and white scheme. What are the dimensions on your silk screen frames, Eddy - don't guess I've ever seen one outside of art class, and those wouldn't fit over a headstock.

Hey Dennis,
Thanks!
My screens are real little, I think about 5" X 10", I made the frames out 3/4" X 3/4" maple.
The logo has to be real close to the left-hand side of the frame because of the dip on the head of the neck or you'll never get it in the right place if it's out in the middle.
Eddy
Thanks!

....That guitar is gorgeous, Ed. What would that be valued at, now? Does restoration add or take away from the value. I would think add, in this case.

I would love to agree with that statement, unfortunately the collectors don't see it that way !
I've said it before, and I'll say it again for the new members.....How the Heck is it, you can restore
an old automobile to Original Specs, and it brings the Value of the Vehicle back up?!?!?
That's just the way it is ......
So how is it, you can not do the same with an old instrument to bring it back cosmetically?!?!?!?
That's just the way it is ......
It ain't fair I tell ya,' it just ain't fair .
Beautiful Guitar Ed, I'm dieing to see the White '65!
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

For those of us who are not such "purists" - I like to see them restored .. In contrast, why do you pay more to have someone "relic" a guitar, but not to restore one???
