That may be it. I remember it was an alder body and a lacquer finish, and of course, a glue-in neck like the original. The cherry sunburst finish on the Nokie looks nice too, even though not authentic to a '63. I think Semi did bursts like that in the late 80's for the sidejack reissues. Interesting about the wider fret board. That would definitely fit my Fenderized hands, but sometimes I think a change to the feel of a neck can be a good thing.

This bring up a good point. The first guitar on my posting is a glue on neck but the 2nd one (N.E.Signature) is a bolt on neck. I was wondering why they changed that. Personally, I prefer glue on neck. (thru neck is even better, that was what Nokie used on his HitchHikers)

Are we talking the RG-1965 compared to the RG-1966 here, Bruno?

I just got a little tid bit of info from my buddy back in VA. He was at the winter NAMM show and was talking with a guy from the fillmore booth about who actually own the mosrite trademark. And he was told that Fillmore can produce guitars under the "Mosrite Originals" trademark but Loretta Moseley owns and can manufacture guitars under the "Mosrite of California" trademark. and that Ed Roman is no longer the north American distributer of fillmore mosrites and has never been an owner nos has ever been a share holder in the Mosrite name. I don't know what this means for either party but I think we might be seeing more mosrite guitars here in the near future. Kevin

very interesting Kev.

Here's an email I received 1/23/2009 from http://www.mosrite.us the "official" Mosrite web site.

Hi Aaron, we will definitely begin to make guitars in the near future. However, we are currently concentrating on reviving Mosrite with Ms Loretta, which means that we are unable to provide you with guitars for a short period of time. We do hope that we will be able to provide you with the best Mosrite product very soon.
Best Regards,
Customer Service
Cheers,
Aaron

Thanks for the update. Kevin:

Dana (Fillmore's "Mosrite Originals")? or Jesus (Swing Science's "Mosrite of California")? :?

I think I prefer Danny's projects. :)

yeah, my frustration with Ms. Loretta is why is there such a delay to make guitars? Why is it that I could make 20 plus guitars a year by myself, and the whole mosrite company (meaning without fillmore) can't make a darn thing?
Annoying :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Just the fact that they are from USA is enough for me to get one. I don't care if it sounded like crap.
