Let the confusion begin. I think you are talking about the Gospels of the Celebrity variety (there were two recently on eBay). The Fillmore Gospel is a replica of Kurt Cobain's Mark V style guitar. Plus there are the late '80s iteration of the name, which are a whole different animal. Obviously, merely using the term "Gospel" is not sufficient, and about as descriptive as simply saying "Mosrite."

Well sorry..i'm no mosrite expert,and the only thing for me to identify the guitar was the inscription on the neck that said "gospel" with the cross logo.But the headstock was really like the first one of your link the 66.So i guess it was a real one :)

Semie Moseley made all sorts of Gospel models, Maybe you saw the "Sooner" headstock? I'm not sure if he was making those headstocks back then. Here's a link to a topic that has a picture of a guitar with a Sooner headstock.
