Great sets of photos!
I like the Vox amp knobs on the germanium one.
I believe the numbers on the couplets are the date codes, both from 1968 18th week and 28th week.
Anybody know the story of the Mosrite-made Guild Foxey Lady?

Re: Anybody know the story of the Mosrite-made Guild Foxey L
hey deke,
i had run across the same link that dennis the menace posted a while back. found it interesting that semie shared a building with zb guitars. zane beck was a very interesting fellow and famed steel player. he was one of the first names to break out making steels after bigsby. he was known as an innovator of steels like semie was to guitars. tom brumley(buckaroos) played one. i find it particularly curious that, once again, semie crosses paths with the steel guitar world. i wonder what brought semie from california to arkansas to the very same building that zane beck was in? anyone know that part of the story?

Excellent link, EIT, thanks! Here is the timeline in sound:
1960 Marty Robbins - a blown transformer in a mixing console
1961 Billy Strange using a 1960 Red Rhodes Fuzz pedal on Anne-Margret's song
1962 The Ventures' first - using Red Rhodes' fuzz:
1963 The Beatles use a USA made Maestro Fuzz-Tone in the studio
1964 The Kinks - supposedly slashed an AC30's speaker
1965 The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards using a Maestro Fuzz-Tone (FZ-1)
1966 • FUZZ-rite fuzz pedal made by Mosrite in the USA. It was designed by Ed Sanner.
