Whoa! Anybody ever seen a MOS-WAH?

I did a search on the forum and on google, and I don't think we've ever discussed this before....and can't seem to find any info about it online....

Anybody ever seen a Mosrite MOS-WAH WITH FUZZ pedal? I just noticed it in the 1973 Mosrite catalog. It's crazy looking! Mosrite top hat knobs on it....anybody know anything about it? I've never seen or heard of one. Similar to a Rosac Nu-Fuzz or Fuzz-Wah I'm guessing?

That must be the rarest of all pedals out there, if they ever went into production. I can't imagine what a "direct drive pot" was.

Also read the description for the "newly designed" Fuzzrite with the "natural distortion of tube amps".

perhaps it meant that the spindle of the potentiometer was turned 'directly' (whatever that meant) by the movement of the pedal, without making use of a pulley, band or coil-type of spring etc. (remember those 'hightech' record turntables that had a "direct drive"? i.e. no pulley or rubber-type band functioning between the spindle of the motor and the turntable's outer edge). Just a thought.

Edit: I think they are to the Mosrite mark I reproductions, Now that I saw the picture. What were they used for though?

The toggle is just the ubiquitous 3-way switch. The "By-Pass Switch" is the black push-button switch used on the V-II, Bluesbender, Brass Rail, etc. I think you might just be confused by the name; they seem to be wired for phase more often than they are to bypass the tone control.
