I spotted a double neck ,sunburst
(Maybe 65 or 66ish during a Volkswagen
Passat commercial, while watching Nfl on NBC last night.
Anyone else?

I didn't see that commercial, but in the documentary Finding The Funk, there's some footage of The Ohio Players (I think) gettin down on a doubleneck.

Does that year include the unpainted headstock? My single neck Ventures model has a painted headstock, black with white lettering. Same sunburst, though.

From the "For What It's Worth" dept., my Sunburst 6/12 doubleneck (Non-Joe Maphis model) sports natural headstocks. Not sure what year mine is.
