Sunburst Slab Ventures 11....... Who's????

A brief up date from the UK! I am now the somewhat very proud owner of the Sunburst Slab Mk11 that Adam in Japan was selling, Has to be said that everything written about these guitars comes no where near the truth of how good they actually are! Also as an aside, if you do happen to find yourself in Tokyo Adam has some crackin’ guitars and as excellent restaurant close by!!
Any way on to the point of this posting……. The guitar has been looked at and played by a few guys on this side of the pond, almost all of whom beyond being impressed are interested in the play wear on the guitar, that is, it is almost all over the neck pick up / Finger board area so much so that most of the serial number has been worn off, although we suspect that it is B024?? On closer near forensic examination! This also ties in with the stamp on the Body although that may well be irrelevant and nothing more than coincidental!!!
Any way back to the neck wear. Who do we all know that played a guitar very hard over the neck pick up area? The thought came (and I have to say that not from me!!) that could this be the Sunburst MK11 that one Mr Ramone played for a short period of time in the late 1970’s? Very unlikely I would think, but I have been unable to find any information beyond one small picture of this guitar,
So first question is does anyone know of any pictures of this guitar?
Alternatively does anyone have any close up pictures of any of his other guitars, particularly the neck pick up / serial number area?
I guess any more information as what happened to this guitar would be interesting…..
All in all a very very unlikely scenario, but the stuff dreams are made of!
What ever the history of the guitar may be, I really cannot under state just how wonderful an axe it is…. Very many Tanx Adam.
Regards to all
Rick
