A 1963 Sidejack Mosrite Bass....S/N #5002.....OK......with the Vibramute System?!?!?!???!?
I wanna see more :mrgreen: , but my 'puter won't let me!Image

This is an extremely rare bass - the only one I have ever seen with the mute bridge. It also has the black Guild style knobs, a black-faced head stock and a larger than large Ventures logo with no "The". There is a picture of the Ventures on the back of the Play Guitar with the Ventures album volume one showing Bob Bogle with a bass exactly like this one - in fact it may be this one!

Bob, you truly have an amazing collection, one that could indeed be a museum in its own right! When did you start collecting and where on earth did you find all these treasures??!

Jason - I started buying guitars in 1991. I used to go to the big vintage guitar shows in Texas and California. Once people learned that I was collecting them I started getting calls from all over offering Mosrites to me. One thing I regret was not buying the 3 Strawberry Alarm Clock Mosrites when they were offered to me at a very reasonable price. I didn't realize how collectable they would turn out to be.

Whoa! :o
Those are all beautiful guitars, but I am particularly in awe of that Sidejack Bass and Maphis Doubleneck.

DROOL.

Right click on any image and 'properties' will give you the location of where the picture is. The main link to his site is;

Bob's Website

and there is a Mosrite Page within his site..

Bloody heck! I now know who the luckiest man on earth is.
I am overwhelmed by envy, jealousy, lust and any other word that applies.
