Oh yeah, That's a beauty! Looks like it'll be easy to restore too but am I seeing things or is the string guide slightly damaged?

I think that's the third '63 I've seen with the "bolt-on" neck repair. The early wooden nut is a neat detail as well. I wonder if it had an aluminum Vibramute?

Is that a neck bolt or a strap button? It's hard for me to tell.
Sourcing a period correct Vibramute may be tough, but if more modern parts are ok this one should go together quickly. What a beaut!

Yep, I agree with Adam, I've seen several of these glue-in neck '63's that have a screw stuck in the back of the neck/body joint in an attempt to keep the neck from pulling out of the neck pocket.
Some of the '63 neck/body joints are solid as a rock, but some pull out--I guess it depends on which helper he had doing the gluing that day! ha ha
