Well...let's see. 1965 eh?

1. serial number V3477.
2. Truss rod adjustment at the headstock.
3. No Ventures logo.
4. Mosley vibrato.
5. An original black tolex case.

Yep it's a Mosrite but where and when was it made is debatable.

Seller says:

Jason, you did fine brother. At 2K, you have invested your money into a REAL Mosrite (USA)
and the Value of it will just keep going up. BTW, are you sure that she's got a cream finish?
Looking at your pix, they almost look like a naturally aged Pearl White.
p.s. All right now, the rest of you guys with Japanese, Korean, Asian, Australian, Antartica, etc. made
Mosrites....don't start chewing on me. Those are all fine instruments as well. I'm just stating
that the old 'made in the USA' Models will hold their Value as well as go up in price.

Well originally I did think that it was aged, however, the paint under the tailpiece, pickups and pickgaurd are consistant, I would expect to see a 'whiter' paint in these areas and there certainly are no signs that it's been refinished. It was in the original case too, although the sale guy didnt think that it was, its not in very good condition though but still in one piece and 'does the job'!

Before I finally put it together and start to play I will get some overall pictures taken, one thing I am happy about is the fretboard, although there is some 'typical' damage to the neck on the back (around the area that typically hits the popper in the case) it's in great condition, the fret board has no signs of wear whatsoever and is truly in orginal condition, but you can tell that its a 40+ year guitar..

Jason, I looked at this pic REEEEEEEAAALL Good! I think if you have a PRO Type Person buff this little guy,
I think you might be in for a surprise, but everything I see is telling me that this little guy is a
Pearl White. Check near the holes drilled near the TREM System and sutch.....

I gave it a real good clean and managed to get the shine back into her (not seen here) but think what you see around the holes is shine from the flash. I must admit I wanted it to be white but am really liking the cream and I really think this was the original but I will try a better polish, can you provide a link to something that would work well if anyone has used one?

The other thing is the Klusons, they have a cream nut that matches the paint quite well..!

When I get a chance tomorrow I'll post a pic of it up close with the pickgaurd off...

OK, that is natural for the tuner keys (plastic buttons) to turn 'creamy' looking over the years. With the
finish however, if you use something like the 'Fender Swirl & Haze Remover' or the 'GHS Guitar Gloss' with
a foam applicator (like you would use to apply wax on a car), and use it sparingly in a circular motion,
preferably like where the TREM System was, you might see the "Pearl" start to show. But try it in an area
that you can can not see, like maybe under the pickguard just as a test. To the best of my knowledge,
Semie never had a Cream finish available on his guitars....
