My '64 Ventures model lives again

Postby dubtrub » Thu Jul 17, 2008 6:13 pm

I got the rewound pickup back from Ed Elliot in today's mail and have it reinstalled in the guitar. Ed did a great job and returned the pickup FAST. He even used the existing leads and it looks like nothing has been touched, except it now sounds great. If anyone needs a pickup rewound, I highly recommend Ed. Since Ed is a registered member here on the forum and reads as a guest. Thanks Ed!

Yep, I hear ya Danny. I've been in touch w/him about getting some Humbuckers made for my Combo. I just need to figure out how many windings I want on each pickup.

I had my repair shop replace the stock pickups in my Fillmore re-issue witha pair from Ed. The tech who did the work had tried the guitar when I brought it in, and then again after changing the pickups and said he couldn't believe the day and night difference....he ordered a pair for his Mosrite the next day!
