Boy Howdy!!!

What a nice collection, Handbrake!

Nicely displayed, and they all look in beautiful shape, too.

Fatty is a beast. The finish runs from top to bottom, with some nice Gospel-esque shading on the headstock. The buttons defeat the volume and tone controls for the neck and bridge pickups respectively. Humbuckers, half trem, deluxe roller bridge, pearloid fret markers, side jack. It's in great condition, too. Just a few finish cracks.

What a feast for the eyes handbrake...and the yellow/orange-burst is starting to grow on me. Also the tortoise shell pickguard goes very well with that particular finish

Since my eBay sales didn't pull in the amount I had hoped, I am bidding on an ugly duckling Celebrity on eBay right now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... CA:US:1123

It sure needs work and the case is a chipboard one, but what can I do? "No bucks; no Buck Rogers."

Anyway, please wish me luck and any educated guesses as to what the year and exact Celebrity this is will be appreciated.

That is nuts for a guitar in that kind of shape.

Sorry to whomever bought this, but you got took.

Looks like Hankeroo bought the Celebrity, stripped the pickups and put it back on the market as a "winter project."

He's the same guy who recently parted out the ocean blue Mark V. He's got several other "projects" on eBay as well. Can't say I respect what he's doing.

Wow, Handbrake; that is exactly what Hankeroo did!!!

Well, there is nothing illegal about it, but it strikes me as VERY crass. Something like that just seems creepy and money-grubbing to me.

It all is very creepy to me. I did a transaction with "Hankaroo" a few months ago for a freind of mine. There was an old Gretsch strap she wanted but didn't have an eBay account. So, I bid on it and won it. We promptly sent the payment but it tool about three weeks to get the strap. "Hank" had all manners of excuses why it was taking so long. I even had to call him to get the thing and I could just tell he wasn't such a great guy to do business with. In my opinion, anyway.
