Re: Celebrity Roll Call
about 4 years ago action music in the DC area had two celebrities for sale at the same time. from what I remember I think they both were celebrity 3 models. one was transparent green the other I think was orange. pretty sure it was the original finish.
Cheers,
Aaron

Hey, isn't that a great music store OR WHAT?!??! I used to work at an ad agency not too far from there and loved visiting it. Spent way too much time and money in that place! Matt was the fellow I usually dealt with.
Have you been to Atomic Music? Used to be in College Park, MD; now in Beltsville and Rockville. They sometimes have some astonishing vintage stuff.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
OK, I have a Celebrity I (w/Trem) and a CE III (no trem). I'm on the hunt for a bunch of different parts, etc.
But the guitar I'm keeping my eye out for is the CE-II MARK I pictured below on the left side. I know there's
some places that have them, the problem is, they KNOW they have them .....

Yep!!! I emailed one of the fellows whose info you sent me last night, after studying the three different Celebrities. Oddly enough, the one I want most is the same one Dennis mentions!
Though I am not going to be picky.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
I'll keep my eyes open. As I am understanding it, the CE II that you want would have the natural color headstock with the chrome tuner buttons, tremelo, etc? Is that right? Do you care about color?

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Hey Gang,
I'd be happy to find a CE-II MARK I in good condition period. It would be a home run in a Sunburst with a Black Headstock and a TREM System, but that might not happen. But it most definitely
would have to have a TREM System and be in good condition. And again I know there are a lot of Vintage Stores that have these, however there prices are not realistic to my financial situation

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Hey, Gang--
Since my eBay sales didn't pull in the amount I had hoped, I am bidding on an ugly duckling Celebrity on eBay right now:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... CA:US:1123
It sure needs work and the case is a chipboard one, but what can I do? "No bucks; no Buck Rogers."
Anyway, please wish me luck and any educated guesses as to what the year and exact Celebrity this is will be appreciated.

Re: Celebrity Roll Call
Hi Jim, more of a partsrite than an ugly duckling in my opinion. That guitar is all over the place. But if the price is right, who's to say that it won't meet your needs.
