Just a followup on the tripleneck Mosrite. That's my clip on youtube. Basically the guy's name was Doug something, and I forgot his last name, but he had been given this guitar as a gift when he was a young kid (!) and he basically kept it under the bed for several decades and brought it to the guy in Florida when he was stationed down there in the military. Since then, he had been transferred to the DC area and that's where I got to see it, he brought it down to a club in the DC area and I videotaped it. I also got to play it that night for a couple songs, and let me tell you a triple neck is really a lot of guitar! ha ha.
The guitar was made in 1957 originally for a gospel group called the Jessup Brothers and would have been made with Carvin pickups and typical handmade 1950's Mosrite hardware. It looks to me like it was redone in the 66-68 era, with Mosrite logo pickups, Moseley vibrato, M knobs, etc.
MOST of Semie's 50's guitars were redone in the 60's or 70's for two reasons. First of all, Semie always liked his creations to look "new" and "current" and he couldn't stand seeing some of his old primitive work when he had these shiny new vibratos and pickups after the mass production began. So most of the custom made instruments got retro-fitted if they were brought back to the factory. The other reason is that many of the 50's instruments, especially the inlay and the custom pickguards and armrests, would start disintigrating because Semie hadn't really learned how to use fillers and glues etc. in his real early days. So some of those guitars in the 1956-1960 era got redone by Semie literally because they were falling apart by the late 1960's.
Hope that helps clear up a little bit of the interest in my youtube clip.

That really does clear a lot. What club was that at in the DC area. I know it wasn't the 9:30 club or the capital ballroom it looks too clean. Kevin
