Semie's 'signed Mosrites' through the 1980s?
There are 1980s and 1990-91s Mosrites out there that Semie Moseley signed on the headstock and/or the neck. Probably to make the buyer and future buyers aware that this was the real deal plus to give them a custom vibe. Did S.M build all these signed guitars himself too or were they all more or less signed in that era?

80’s Mosrites are cool. Mr. Mosley ran the whole show back then, with a small crew. many of the ones that i have seen still have the final check out tag with his handwriting and signature. there are some youtube videos that give a little peek into the Jonas Ridge factory that are facinating.

I don't think Semie would have built every one of them then, no. Though he probably did build some of them.
Also (related,) the wording on the headstock saying "by Semie Moeley" badging (or sometimes "by Moseley," there are these 2 versions in that year range) goes as far back to the 1971 - 1974 year range. I don't think he was signing them that early. I'm also not sure very well if the post-1977 models have that wording on their headstocks, I haven't looked closely enough at them to remember.

Maybe Ed (Elliott) could tell us some more on this. That would be great.

we would be really lucky for a little bit of Mr. Elliott’s time. i had an excellent, short phone conversation with him earlier this year. his offerings are very much in demand and keep him very busy, i was grateful that he took the time to talk with me and he was very friendly. his posts on here are incredible and i am glad that we have them here.
