Another 50's Mosrite, spotted in Japan

Postby Deke Dickerson » Fri Dec 12, 2008 9:56 pm

Here's another Mosrite from what appears to be the Granada Hills period, I'm guessing '57-'59. Listmember Adam Tober snapped a shot of this on his cell phone while going around to guitar shops in Japan...thanks Adam!

I have no idea who "Stan" was....but this is a pretty fancy guitar. 2 Carvin pickups, custom armrest and inlaid pickguard...I love the "curlicues."

Thanks for the credit, Deke. For posterity I figured I'd upload the rest of the pertinent pics from that shop's permanent collection (made me cry every time I saw those puppies behind glass).

Cheers,
Adam

I can't believe they have the Phil Baugh Doubleneck!!!!!!!! Holy crap! The YouTube footage of that guitar is some of my all time favorite!
If it hasn't been done before, there's a reason why.
