Hi Mel and Danny, I'm now registered

Postby CraigSkelly » Tue Jan 20, 2009 12:55 pm

Hey Mel and Danny...My pal Bruce and I met you at the Mosrite Geek fest in Anahaim on Saturday night and on Sunday at the guitar show, I bought a Mosrite clone. It's a Wilson Brothers VM-75, in sunburst. I'm thinking of it as my VW on the way to a Porsche. I'm looking forward to discovering more about Mosrite guitars and hanging out with you both and your members.

Hey Craig,

Welcome to the forum. Man what a great show that was. Plus it was great to meet so many new people. When you get a chance, post some pics of your Wilson and tell us about it in the Modern Mosrites and Clones section of the forum. I don't recall anyone reviewing a Wilson Bros.yet. Congratulations on your new guitar.

Also be sure to check out the photo's and posts in Members Music and Gigs section about the Geek Fest.

Hey Craig
This is the place for Mosrites and Mosrite clones of all flavors. I almost bought a Wilson Bros. a few years back but decided to wait for a Mosrite. They were out of my price range so I bought a Hallmark. Then I bought Mosrite parts and made a partsright as they are called here.
I look forward to hearing about you Wilson Brothers guitar.

Welcome to the forum Craig!

FYI, band promoting is fine here (in the Member gigs section) - so for the rest of the gang, Craig plays in the traditional surf music band The Breakaways - http://www.thebreakaways.com/ - in the Orange County, CA area.

Welcome, Craig. I was the fellow next to you checking out the Mosrite at the vintage show while you were debating the Wilson Bros purchase. Congrats!

Hi Craig, a welcome too, all the way from Holland! (heh, heh)

I'm listening to your fine surf sound of the Breakaways in the background as I'm writing!

Enjoy this forum,
Cheers,
Paul

I'm relatively new, as well. This is nice a bunch, here. I'm humbled by their knowledge on the subject of Mosrite and associated topics. Welcome to classroom. :)

Hey all, thanks for the messages. I'll post some pictures and a review in the next few weeks as I get used to the Wilson Brothers guitar.

Welcome to the board! I'm glad someone on here picked that Wilson Bros. up! Seemed like a great price to me!
If it hasn't been done before, there's a reason why.
