New guy. Gibson-width neck to fit`99 MiJ Ventures??

Hi, all. I own a pearl white`99 MiJ Ventures (and owned a pearl white`66 Ventures 12 from about`95 to`00.) I'll post my questions in the specific appropriate forum(s) too, but here they are: Is there anyone else who loves the looks of Ventures models but hasn't mastered the extremely narrow string spacing? I e-mailed E. Roman & co. about making me a retrofit neck with a more normal nut width, and got no response of any kind. Looks from their website like they'd charge about $1250. (The guitar cost me $1300.) Has anyone had such a neck made - by anyone, anywhere? At what price? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Your cheapest bet would probably be a Hallmark Custom 60, which is essentially a Ventures model with a wider neck.

Ditto on what Mel suggests. You also might want to check EFElliott, whom both Members are on the Board

Hey Brizzy,
I have 2 70's mosrites and the neck width at the nut/zero fret is actually the same as my les pauls. the string spacing is closer together though, but I'm pretty sure they are wider then the MIJ models and the earlier 60's models. maybe that would work for ya.
one other thing, is you could get Tim to make you one with gibson specs, although I think he's pricier then Hallmark. hope this helps.

Hey, thank you all; Mel, Dennis & Aaron. Lots of helpful info & guidance. Much obliged.
(Dennis, I love your pearl white Vibramute. I've been a pearl white addict ever since the "Play Guitar with The Ventures" album.)

Thanks Brian, the Sunburst and Pearl White are my first 2 choices in colors.
However, I could be talked into a C.A.R. or an Ink Blue very easily

.
P.S. BTW, Where did ya' find my '65

??? Because, Danny helped me
replace it with the Doubleneck (pictured below) for the 'Mosrite Photo Gallery.'

Yeah, Dennis, if someone gave me a CAR Ventures, I'd keep it. (Gross understatement.)
I saw your PW Ventures when I clicked on your link, vintagerock4.com.

HAHA That's exactly why my favorite is the Red, White, and Blue model!
