Hi
I have recently acquired a Mosrite guitar and would love to know more about it. It is apparently a Japanese made one. It has a serial number on the fret and an amateur 'Japan' scratched into it. Something doesnt seem right but wanted to know. Please help [mosrite1][/mosrite2]

Welcome. The easiest way to post photos is to upload your images at one of the free site, such as Photobucket or Shutterfly. From there you will have a link that you can copy and paste, then it will appear in your post.

Re: Eager to know more.....
- That 'JAPAN' scratched into the board is wild! A first for me. Looking at it I form a hypothetical story in my head, that maybe someone bought it under the guise it was a real US Mosrite and wanted to erase any confusion for anyone else who might consider purchasing the guitar in it's lifetime by scratching that in the 'board. It certainly looks hand scratched, er, etched, HA... PS, what does the neck bolt plate look like, rectangle or whacky peanut shape?
The gangster looks so frightening, with his luger in his hand
When he gets home to his children, he's a family man
But when it comes to the nitty-gritty, he can shove in his knife
Yes he really looks quite religious, he's been an outlaw all his life
