Greetings from Scotland!

Postby Grizz » Sun May 04, 2014 2:16 am

Greetings from Scotland! Been a long time luker here, thought it was about time to sign up :)

Been a fan of Mosrite guitars since my late teens when I saw a Mk1 sunburst in a local music shop that one of the techs owned. When I first joined my band in 1997 I spent years hunting for one but they've always been out of my reach financially and very rare to see here in the wild so to speak. I eventually managed to buy a Mk2 "Johnny Ramone" from Zamminc circa 2006 and it has been my main guitar on & off since then. I'm currently trying to track down a Mk1 reissue in sunburst like the one I fell in love all those years ago :)

Hello Stu! I was in Scotland in 1989, and really enjoyed my stay there. The people are friendly and the beer is awesome!

I don't know if you would be interested in a Hallmark II but we have one left in 3 tone sunburst in stock. You may enjoy our hotter pickups with the earlier Ramone-tone. This is pretty much dead on to Johnny's 3 tone sunburst VII that he used with the Ramones. See here for more info: http://hallmarkguitars.com/guitars/hallmark-II.shtml

Cheers and Gabba Gabba!

Bob

Thanks for the welcome folks!!

I've been eyeballing the Hallmark guitars for a while now Bob, they are stunning - I really hope you get a UK distributor / trade partner, you'd sell a ton over here and in the EU I bet :D Nearly pulled the trigger on a Custom 60 a little while back but figured the customs fees and 20% tax for importing to this country would drive the price up too high. I might start setting aside funds again soon though! 8-)

Just bought an Aria DM-380 (sunburst) as a back-up actually, seemed to get decent reviews for the price but will likely require some upgrades from what I've read though. Was going to ask if anyone on here had this guitar / put a Bigsby in, not seen many modified Aria model copies - prob not worth it I guess!
