hey guys, new to the site. love the way mosrites look and if you couldnt tell by my name i am a Ramones fan.

Welcome, eh?! If you didn't notice by my avatar, I'm a John Fogerty fan! But I do have some Ramones on cd if that counts!

Cool. I like CCR too and in I am getting into collecting LPs. Any Fogerty or CCR LPs you can recommend?

Re: CCR/Fogerty LP's...
The first "self-titled" CCR (with Suzy Q), Green River, Bayou Country, Willy & the Poor Boys, Cosmos Factory are musts, John's first solo lp titled "The Blue Ridge Rangers" has some great Gospel, mild Bluegrass and traditional and rockin' Country, his second solo "John Fogerty" has some great tunes too, as does his later "Blue Moon Swamp". The BRR and second solo lp's consist of John playing all instruments including pedal steel, banjo, fiddle, piano, horns and backing vocals. If you're at all into any country, suggest the BRR lp first...probably one of my fave CCR lp's would be Willy & the Poor Boys. Although the CCR "hits" were great, I got into them because of the lp tracks that didn't get much airplay.
Ya might want to stay from "The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again" as well as the last CCR lp "Mardi Gras" (a.k.a. "Fogerty's Revenge")
