Hello Group,
Happy to join the ranks here!
Long-time guitarist and fan of Mosrite and Ventures.
I own 2 Mosrites: The first I believe to be a 1966 Ventures Model.
The second a Japanese Combo, maybe from the '70s?
The Ventures guitar sounds and plays beautifully! I was fortunate enough to meet Dana Moseley
at one of Deke Dekerson's Guitar Geek Festivals and she generously offered to set-up and tweak my
Mosrite. I sent it to her and she did a great job!
I look forward to learning from everybody here.
Thanks,
Andy Timmons

Re: Hello from McKinney, TX!
Welcome to the forum, Andy! How do you like the Combo? I have a Mo' Combo that is a joy to play - if the copy is one of the early Firstman copies, it's probably as close as you get to the real thing. My early Japanese copy of the MK I actually plays as good as, and may sound better than (sacrilege!!) some of my Mosrites!
Enjoy the company while you're among us.

Re: Hello from McKinney, TX!
Thanks Dennis,
To be honest I haven't played the combo much. Definitely will need some TLC
I do have it proudly displayed in my studio as I had Nokie sign it here in Dallas during his
70th Birthday celebration at the now closed Hard Rock Cafe.
Will post photos asap.
Mosrite Forever!

Re: Hello from McKinney, TX!
Hi and welcome. How do Combos sound? Kinda like an ES-335 compared to a Les Paul?
