I am so glad to be on forum dedicated to Mosrite enthusiast! I have had mine since 1988. It was given to me by the girl I was seeing at the time. I am a drummer but also play guitar and dabble with the bass. She had gotten it from her uncle who didn't play anymore I assume. I had no idea what a Mosrite of California The Ventures model really was until about 15 years ago. I was surprised that I owned a very rare and sought after bass which automatically made me want to learn more about Mosrite. I think it is a 64 but not sure. I have always loved vintage instruments and proud to know I have this bass. I even record at a studio here in Simi Valley Ca. and the engineer tells me The Ventures are in there quite often and offered to introduce me to them. Hasn't happened yet but I will let you know.
