Hi everyone! I've been a Ventures fan since the 60s and always loved the look of the Mosrite guitars. After finally seeing The Ventures live back in '96, I decided to go for it and found an orphan Mosrite 6-string on ebay that had been painted an ungodly color and looked atrocious - but was complete and cheap! Then I found Bill Gruggett in Bakersfield and he obliged me by totally restoring it to its original sunburst glory. I also own a Celebrity bass that needs original pickups, pickguard, and chrome cover, but that's another story... might never find them. My other guitars include an autographed Nokie Edwards Fender Telecaster and a Gerry McGee Fender Strat. Not that I can play any of them past basic chords, but they're fun to own. I'm looking forward to reading about all of you and your own toys.
Cheers,
Bill

Welcome to the forum Bill. Is your celebrity bass a 24.5" or 30" scale?

What do the measurements refer to? The entire length is roughly 39". The fret board is about 18".

Scale length is measured from nut to bridge.

And, in the case of some oddball guitars, bridge to the zero fret.
