I HATE MOSRITE.

Figured that would get a couple clicks, if it doesn't get me banned. :D

Hello! I come from Austin, Texas. I'm 14 and I love music. My main influences (Subject to change ;) ) are Slacktone, Bjork, the Beach Boys, My Bloody Valentine, Animals as Leaders, Nirvana, and the list goes on.

Mosrites are amazing.. I've played a bass and several hollowbody mosrites, but do not own one. I'm interested in learning more about them, and perhaps piecing one together, although that would be a big investment. I love vintage Fenders, especially jags and teles, and I love old Gibby flattops. I have a 1946 j-45 hanging on my wall that my dad got cheap in the 80's, as well as an american tele, jag twelver, and a deluxe active jazzy bass.

I'm excited to learn and help where I can.

Welcome to the forum, Preston!
If you feel you need a 'Mosriteish' Guitar for an reasonable price, check out Hallmark Guitars. http://www.hallmarkguitars.com
If you decide to build one by yourself, please post pics so we can enjoy the progress. Tons of useful info on this forum and very kind and helping ladies and gentlemen as well.

Cheers
Sancho

Hey! It's cool to see an equal ager, 15 here. I picked up a Hallmark II several months back and I'm still extremely impressed with it, so if you can't dive into actual Mosrite territory soon, go the Hallmark route, it's NOT a step down, whatsoever. Welcome to the forum, Preston!

Thanks,
Eyan

Thanks! Cool to have another teenager on here. Right now my money is toward a jag project I'm working on (pics if you ask nicely :D ), but after that these hallmarks look great! I never liked the eastwood ripoffs, too far from the mosrites, but these are cool.

EDIT: Cool to see you guys from sg101 on here, too. I've been browsing, this place is cool.

Welcome. Certainly the title warranted some clicks but it was misleading, I thought this would be a thread about an Anti-Mosrite rant. (I realize that may have been the idea, But please be advised it's not a type of idea which will prove to be rewarding in the future.)

And if you look, You will find much information about Mosrite guitars here. Perhaps you may start building guitars? It can be fun to do.

:?

Sorry, that was my pathetic little joke... I'll try to convey my sick humor better in the future. ;)

I may start building guitars, that would be fun.

Not sure if the title deserves a scalding. . . it got me to click on it right away, so it was very effective.
