New member: I came for twang

Howdy folks. I've been a fan of The Ventures since the 1960s (I still have my vinyl discs!). I've never owned a Mosrite guitar, but I'm encouraged to find that there are some affordable replicas that appear to be close to the originals. I'm joining the forum in the hope that I can get some guidance that will help me choose a guitar I will love to play.
By way of true confessions, I'm addicted to clean twang. I built my own custom baritone Strat earlier this year, and now I'm in the hunt to satiate my long-time burn for the Mosrite tone...hopefully at price that won't have me living under a bridge.
As an additional note, I've just read the "Attention: New Members Registering Please Read" post, and I'm greatly encouraged to find that the forum rules strictly prohibit discussion of "sex, politics and religion". (Actually, I'm not opposed to sex, but I agree that it has no place on a guitar forum.)
Thanks for accepting my membership to the forum!
Vito
