Hello:
Thank you for allowing me in the forum. I can't say I know a lot about music, but I know what I like. I've been a Mosrite lover since I first heard The Venture's on the radio. The mistake I made was to stop playing guitar when I was in high school in 1967 (yes I'm that old). I missed out on buying a Venture's Mosrite back then when I was spending money on cars, model aircraft and Mad Magazine.
I have just realized my dream to actually own not one but two Mosrite, Venture's Series guitars. My first is a bass which has quite a history, from what I'm told. I am the second owner. The man who sold it got it for his birthday as a high school student in the mid sixties. His parents lived down the street from Semie and asked a special favor. My bass was built in his garage/shop by Mosely's own hands. It's not the fanciest bass, but it is my pride and joy. Today I picked up my second Mosrite, this time a lead/rhythm. As luck would have it, they are both Sunburst 1966 models.
For most of my adult life, my hobby was model aircraft. Last winter I made a decision which would lead me to finding these Mosrite's. I have other guitars and I enjoy them; but they don't have the Mosrite sound.
I live near Boise, Idaho, am retired and live modestly with my life-partner Gwen. We both have a love for music and the making of music.
Regards
Rosie

Re: Introduction
Welcome to the forum Rosie, and congratulations on your new (to you) Mosrite guitar to go along with your bass. Mosrites and Mad Magazine both have had deep impact on my sensibilities too!
